“If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change. ”
– Gautama Buddha
It is upon the aspiration of these words that Paramita Meditation Centre came to be.
Our vision is to provide a nurturing place for learning and self-discovery for all – hence the name – Paramita, which in Sanskrit, refers to the art and practice of cultivating universal values of generosity, virtue, patience, diligence, contemplation and wisdom in every aspect of life.
With the firm understanding that the mind is the forerunner of all things, Paramita offers a place of quiet solitude for those seeking a pause, clarity and purpose, away from their busy urban environment.
Set against a backdrop of verdant forests and rolling hills, our Centre is not only ideal for the practice of meditation and group retreats, but also for learning the authentic path the Buddha taught more than 2500 years ago.
Ultimately this practice is aimed at developing equanimity – to be able to bear witness to everything life brings.
“It was a very inspiring and life enriching experience, be it the teachings of the monks or the overall hospitality. I personally gained a deeper understanding of what it meant by Buddhism. I will continue applying it to my life from now on. My wholehearted thanks! I am calm and happy. “
